What is it?
The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Cisco Network Professionals is designed to equip Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career switchers, with skills to perform the following six job roles:
- Cisco Account Manager (Sales)
- Cisco Architecture System Engineer (Pre-sales)
- Cisco Field Engineer (Data Centre)
- Cisco Field Engineer (Enterprise Networking)
- Cisco Field Engineer (Cyber Security)
- Cisco DevNet Developer (Programmability)
Administered by World Partners Solution (‘WPS’) (Recruitment Partner) through NTT, the PCP operates under the Place-and-Train mode in which the participating companies will employ the trainees before commencing the PCP.
The six-month PCP includes eLearning training by the assigned training provider and structured on-the-job training by their employers.

Who can apply?
Individuals
The Programme is open to all company-sponsored applicants who meet the following General Eligibility Criteria:
- Singapore Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (PR);
- Minimum 21 years old;
- Graduated or completed National Service, whichever is later, at least two years prior at the point of application;
- New hires should be hired for not more than three months;
- New hires must not be in the same job role prior to joining the PCP;
- New hires must not be a shareholder of the PCP company, or its related companies;
- New hires must not be related to the owner(s) of the PCP company; and
- New hires must not be immediate ex-staff of PCP company or its related companies.
Employers
- Registered or incorporated in Singapore;
- Ensure that new hires cannot be:
- A shareholder of the PCP company, or its related companies;
- Related to the owner(s) of the PCP company; and
- Immediate ex-staff of PCP company or its related companies;
- Offer a full-time PMET position employment contract on permanent terms or on contract terms that are no less than one (1) year;
- Offer employment directly related to the job which the PCP is for, with remuneration that is aligned to the market rate;
- Commit to the PCP training arrangements for the trainees; and
- Be committed to work with WSG and NTT on the necessary administrative matters related to the PCP.
Course-Specific Entry Criteria
For Cisco Account Manager (Sales):
- Preferably qualification in Sales or marketing (Degree/ Advanced Diploma)
- Demonstrates ability to listen and meet client’s requirements
- Willingness to work to a sales achievement plan
For Cisco Architecture System Engineer (Pre-sales):
- Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing/Engineering/Science preferred
- Enjoys working in infocomm, telecoms, engineering or other technology related roles
- Willing to learn to write and present technical solutions
For Cisco Field Engineer (Data Center):
- Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing/Engineering/Science preferred
- Enjoys working in infocomm, telecoms, engineering or other technology related role
- Demonstrates diagnosis and troubleshooting skills in previous roles
- Willing to learn about network, systems and security
For Cisco Field Engineer (Enterprise Networking):
- Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing/Engineering/Science preferred
- Enjoys working in infocomm, telecoms, engineering or other technology related role
- Demonstrates diagnosis and troubleshooting skills in previous roles
- Willing to learn about network, systems and security
For Cisco Field Engineer (Cyber Security):
- Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing/Engineering/Science preferred
- Enjoys working in infocomm, telecoms, engineering or other technology related role
- Demonstrates diagnosis and troubleshooting skills in previous roles
- Willing to learn about network, systems and security
For Cisco DevNet Developer (Programmability):
- Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing/Engineering/Science preferred
- Enjoys programming, and iterative process with product improvements.

How does it work?
Funding Support | Requirement |

Course Fee Grant
Up to 70% of the course fee ( excluding GST), subjected to funding caps. |
The trainee must pass all the required modules. |
Enhanced Course Fee Grant
Up to 90% of the course fee ( excluding GST), subjected to funding caps. |
The trainee must be either a SC/PR sponsored by a SME1, or a SC aged 40 years old and above. |
Salary Subsidy
Up to 70% of monthly salary, capped at S$4,000 per trainee per month, for up to 6 months. |
The trainee must complete the entire PCP duration. |
Enhanced Salary Subsidy
Up to 90% of monthly salary, capped at S$6,000 per trainee per month, for up to 6 months. |
The trainee must be a SC, either aged 40 years old and above, or unemployed and has been actively seeking employment for 6 months or more. |
